The Product Manager MUST attend all user tests

The PM must be at every single qualitative user test. It cannot be delegated and an external firm can’t be used. The PM’s contribution is in knowing the customer better than anybody through interacting with the customer more than anybody, and then using that knowledge to interact with your team’s ideas.
